Firecracker Balloons

9"x9" gouache on paper. It's been 5 years since last using gouache. I'm considering it a welcomed new phase.

Summer Ink

Chinese ink set on sumi paper. Cropped image. Original 17"x11". Green summertime peppers. This is my way of delaying other things.. like finishing a 60"x50" acrylic fossil. So for now I'll post dated veggies. Stay tuned, I guess.

Wine: afterward. [Fine settimana di vino]

Friends, family and those I just met, much thanks to everyone who came out last weekend and enjoyed the wine festival! (Especially if you stopped by the booth, talked about art, or even made a purchase.) My vote for the event went to Mark Cascia Vineyards, by the way. Located Thompson Creek area of Kent Island.
This little deer made only from gun powder is still in fact for sale!
Poster situation, going very well.
And a drunk lady even bought my display at the end of Sunday evening! I made her night(?)

Check out my sign made from this painting of Columbus storming the native shores.

And a great new MilkHouse clipboard. I mean new mailing list. Feel free to keep joining. When I decide to start sending things hopefully you won't be disappointed!

Not my print job, just some very old favorites. Tiny 3" paper Indian gift bags. Held on to since 1999, via moksha-imports.

Paper 16, Ladybugs/mortality

Ink on paper; After once upon a time stumbling into Lindsay's cabin and noticing hundreds upon hundreds dead (ladybugs), though they looked peaceful.
Tonight: Sneaky Pete watching Forrest reading Grace Slick's autobiography and blankly asking "what is this?" Note the neon melon paper and tank top; the camera cannot even do their brightness justice.

Ink Drops

A few new [little] ink pieces in the works. Inks featured here with Miss EggNoggies. Perhaps the greatest cat who ever did live. Blue eye... green eye.

Look Up!

Almost indescribable. I desperately recommend seeing Fuerza Bruta some time this year, but try to go without knowing too much, the mystery/surprise duo is electrifying. You will become magnetized to a spectacle that might make your cheeks stuck in a smile, then leave with a curious yearning to breathe art, (artlife). A little bit of beauty bombardment.
Find it at the Daryl Roth Theatre in NYC between $26 and $80 through late summer.

Old newspaper nostalgia

And look, almost four years to date. Chronicle front page! Hospital mural fine-tuning and my unnaturally cheerful paint pose. I hope that anyone I worked alongside of on this one is finding much mural and/or painting success! Leap month now, leap month then. How incidentally awesome! (click image to read)

Leftovers part 1: Valentines (Paper 12)

Only because I actually do enjoy the celebration of St.Valentine's Day, thanks to all of the colors in the middle of dreary Winter.
Cara Cara oranges are in season. So are heart ice cubes.

Click to enlarge; top right corner!

Thanks to chef JC Lowery; Brie En Croute with too many fresh berries.

And of course our handmade paper selections...

Newest Mural

After working with A Girl and A Brush last month on a residential Maryland dining room; approx. 84"x60". Grass and boats, grass and birds. The homeowner loves it more than a he would a photograph (and I'd rather deal in paint) even if it is the beautiful blasé Bay.
